Jess is a highly experienced Project Management and Workforce Management professional with 10 years’ experience in management recruitment, travel and logistics, payroll management, contract management, stakeholder management, and capacity building across national and international projects, including working in high-risk contexts. She has demonstrated experience in cultivating and maintaining positive relationships with government clients and a proven track record of team leadership. Jess is capable of developing and implementing the procedures and processes required to achieve and deliver quality program outcomes.
Erin is the Program Manager, managing the team, supporting locum placements and requests for health service organisations in rural and remote Australia. She is also the Quality Coordinator and looks after the quality management system for Rural LAP. Erin has previously worked as a Program Officer for Rural LAP, supporting GP and Specialist Anaesthetists and Obstetricians across Australia, in addition to recruitment support for Nurses and Allied Health professionals in Tasmania and NSW. She also managed the GP Education Assistance Program. Erin brings over eight years' experience in medical recruitment, having also worked as a Recruitment Officer for Defence On-base Health Services and as a and Placement Consultant for RAHC, placing health professionals in remote communities in the Northern Territory.
Team Leader and Program Officer
Lizzie is the team leader for Rural LAP and has 6 years experience with the program. She's also a program officer, managing NSW and WA client and locum enquiries, administration, recruitment and placement of locums. Lizzie brings 6 years’ experience as a practice manager for a physiotherapy practice in the ACT, providing exceptional customer service and high-level support to clients. She has completed a Certificate III and Diploma in Business Administration for Medica,l and is currently completing a Bachelor of Nursing. Outside of her role with Rural LAP, Lizzie enjoys spending time with her two young boys, Connor and Jackson, and keeping fit through competitive cheerleading.
Justine joined the Rural LAP team in 2015 as a recruitment administrator, managing the administration for new and current locums, which expanded to incorporate credentialing application packs. She has since progressed to program officer, managing South Australia and Queensland. Justine completed a Bachelor of Films at the Université de Picardie Jules Verne (Amiens, France) in 2015 and has professional experience in both retail and administration from her hometown in France. She moved to Canberra on a Working Holiday Visa in September 2015. Justine enjoys traveling, reading and spending time at the beach where she lives on the Gold Coast.
Vanessa joined the Rural LAP team in March 2020 as a Travel and Logistics Coordinator, organising and coordinating travel and accommodation for locum placements. She has since progressed to Program Officer, managing placements for nurses and allied health in Tasmania and Victoria, allied health in New South Wales and all GP and specialist obstetrician and anaesthetists, Australia-wide. Vanessa has a Certificate III in Travel and Tourism and over 10 years’ experience in travel management in corporate and retail environments. Prior to joining the team, Vanessa managed a home business specialising in alterations of wedding dresses while maintaining quality of life for an elderly parent. In her free time she enjoys gardening and spending time outdoors with her two girls and her husband.
Aged Care Program Officer
Ashleigh has recently joined the Rural LAP Aged Care team as a Program Officer after spending the past 6 months on the COVID-19 vaccination program with Aspen Medical. She has a Certificate III in aged care and 7 years’ experience providing support to the elderly community in high-care, aged care facilities. Ashleigh specialised in dementia care before taking a break from work to raise her 3 children, Juliette, Leila and Reggie, with her partner, Sam.
Aged Care Program Officer
Lisi-Alofa joined the Rural LAP team in 2022, as an- Aged Care Program Officer. Previously from Sydney, she has an extensive background in various business administration areas, previously working in events management and logistics roles. Lisi-Alofa joins us as she continues her studies towards a Bachelor of Business Management from SUT. Alongside her passion for helping others, she loves travelling and immersing herself in new experiences.
Erin joined the Rural LAP team in March 2022 as the Credentialing Coordinator. She has a background in administration and customer service, working in a range of fields including retail, commercial sales and as a bank teller where she obtained a Certificate III in Financial Services. Erin has joined us after taking a break from customer service where she worked on a free-range egg farm in a rural community near Canberra. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her partner and friends, and practicing her music.
Travel and Logistics Coordinator
Daniel joined the Rural LAP team in June 2022, as the Travel and Logistics Coordinator. He has a Bachelor of Business with a major in marketing. Before joining Rural LAP, Daniel worked in the hospitality and customer service industry for 6 years. In his free time, Daniel enjoys travelling and works as a DJ at various nightclubs throughout Canberra, Sydney and Melbourne.
Joel joined the Rural LAP team in October 2021 as a finance officer. He moved to Canberra from Singapore in 2014 to pursue a Bachelor of Commerce degree from ANU, majoring in accounting and is now a Certified Practising Accountant. Joel has worked with Aspen Medical since 2019, providing accounting support to Aspen Corporate Health and Project Independence prior to joining the Rural LAP team. A member of Hope Church Canberra, Joel enjoys bringing hope to those around him. He also has an interest in photography and loves to cook.
Brand and Marketing Manager (maternity leave)
Jamie has managed the Rural LAP brand for over 9 years and is responsible for all media, advertising and marketing activities related to the program. She manages several brands nationally and internationally for our program administrator, Aspen Medical. Jamie brings several years experience in business, marketing and events management. Prior to joining Rural LAP, Jamie owned and operated a small business within a renowned hotel in Canberra. She was responsible for managing a team of employees, business development, marketing and graphic design solutions, accounting and finance, and client service management. Jamie has a Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in Business Management and Marketing Management from the University of Canberra. She has taken a close interest in designing collateral for each of her brand portfolios and decided take her education further by enrolling into a Diploma of Graphic Design course.
A/g Group Brand Manager
Hannah joined Aspen Medical as A/g Group Brand Manager and Rural LAP Marketing Manager in December 2021. She has over 14 years’ experience in senior marketing and communication roles in recruitment, utilities, and the Australian Public Service, and has maintained a particular focus on brand management. Hannah has a Graduate Certificate in Marketing, a Certificate IV in Graphic Design and is currently studying a Bachelor of Nursing. She’s passionate about healthcare and the incredibly important work of nurses around the world.
