Laura Jackson
Program Manager
Laura is the Rural LAP program manager, managing the team, supporting locum placements and requests for health service organisations in rural and remote Australia. Laura is also the quality coordinator and looks after the quality management system for Rural LAP. Laura graduated with a Bachelor of Business in Hotel and Resort Management from the Southern Cross University in Coffs Harbour. She brings considerable experience in business management with strong skills in day-to-day management, training and coordinating a team of up to 35 people and organising large functions.

Ieysha Sharpe
Team Leader - Travel and Logistics Coordinator (maternity leave)
Ieysha has been apart of the Rural LAP team since 2015 as the travel and logistics coordinator and has recently moved into the role of team leader. She brings an extensive background in travel management and recruitment consultancy. Ieysha’s previous role as Assistant Team Leader to one of Australia’s leading travel brands saw her facilitate and coordinate various travel itineraries for both international and domestic travel on a leisure and corporate scale. Ieysha is an avid traveller herself who spends her free time outside of work travelling the world, learning about and experiencing new cultures.

Erin Mann
Team Leader and Program Officer
Erin is the program officer supporting anaesthetists and obstetricians across rural and remote Australia in addition to recruitment support for Nurses and Allied Health professionals in Tasmania. She also manages the GP Education Assistance Program, offering financial assistance to urban General Practitioners in return for undertaking a locum placement in a rural or remote area. Erin brings over four years' experience in medical recruitment as a recruitment and placement consultant for Defence On-base Health Services, placing health professionals in remote communities in the Northern Territory.

Lizzie Kellett
Program Officer
Lizzie is a program officer for Rural LAP, managing New South Wales (NSW) and Western Australia (WA) client and locum enquiries, administration, recruitment and placement of locums. Lizzie brings six years’ experience as a practice manager for a physiotherapy practice in the ACT, providing exceptional customer service and high-level support to clients. Lizzie has completed both Certificate 3 and Diploma in Business Administration for Medical. Outside managing NSW and WA clients and locums for Rural LAP, Lizzie enjoys spending time with her two young boys Connor and Jackson and enjoys keeping fit through competitive cheerleading.

Justine Sorensen
Program Officer

Jade Margules
Program Officer
Jade joined the team in 2017 as a credentialing coordinator and administrator. Jade is now a program officer for Rural LAP, managing New South Wales (NSW) and Northern Territory (NT) client and locum enquiries, administration, recruitment and placement of locums. She completed her Certificate III in Business and is aiming to start her Certificate IV in the future. Jade brings over eight years of experience in administration and customer relations. When she is not at work, Jade enjoys spending family time with her husband and two sons.

Emma Wind
Travel and Logistics Coordinator
Emma is part of the travel and logistics coordination team for Rural LAP, organising and coordinating locum travel and accommodation for their placements. Emma has a Certificate 3 and 4 in Business Administration and an extensive background in recruitment previously working for NAHRLS as the Team Leader and Recruitment Officer. She has been away from the team for the past four years raising her young family and working as the office manager for her family building company. Emma has since returned to the team on a part-time basis.

Jamie Smith
Brand and Marketing Manager
Jamie has managed the Rural LAP brand for over 9 years and is responsible for all media, advertising and marketing activities related to the program. She manages several brands nationally and internationally for our program administrator, Aspen Medical. Jamie brings several years experience in business, marketing and events management. Prior to joining Rural LAP, Jamie owned and operated a small business within a renowned hotel in Canberra. She was responsible for managing a team of employees, business development, marketing and graphic design solutions, accounting and finance, and client service management. Jamie has a Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in Business Management and Marketing Management from the University of Canberra. She has taken a close interest in designing collateral for each of her brand portfolios and decided take her education further by enrolling into a Diploma of Graphic Design course.

Glory Mak
Finance Manager
Glory Mak joined the team in April 2019 and is currently responsible for overseeing all financial operations for Rural LAP including financial reporting, budgeting and cash management. Glory is a certified accountant with CPA Australia with over 10 years’ experience in a variety of financial management and accountancy roles. During her spare time, one of her favourite things to do is hot yoga.

Fahad Nawaz
Finance Officer
Fahad joined Rural LAP in May 2020 and is responsible for managing the overall financial operations for the program. He has a degree in Master of Professional Accounting and is currently an associate member of CPA Australia. Fahad has over five years of experience in accounting and finance roles. In his spare time, Fahad likes to travel and explore new places.
