How my healthy lifestyle journey began

My journey towards a healthier lifestyle began eight years ago when I made a life-changing discovery that I was anaphylactic to wheat. At aged 24, my life suddenly revolved around avoiding certain foods. My take-out options were heavily restricted, forcing me to make more homemade meals and choose healthier alternatives.

Developing a meal prepping routine took some getting used to, but I love it! Setting aside every Sunday to prepare my week ahead has made my busy lifestyle somewhat easier.

 

Since choosing to nourish my body with healthy meals and daily exercise, I have not only lost weight, but my energy levels have doubled! The only con I found is missing out on a delicious burger at a pub that doesn’t have a gluten-free option paired with a nice cold beer. 

 

I love creating monthly challenges to switch things up in my routine, including:

  • no sugar
  • no alcohol
  • no junk food.
