NAHRLS celebrated RSPCA Cupcake Day on Friday, 23 August 2013 and raised a total $344 to help mistreated animals and fight animal cruelty. Thank you to all Aspen, NAHRLS and RAHC staff who made a gold coin donation on the day and all who donated online!
With one year remaining on the current contract, The Department of Health and Ageing (DoHA) has extended the successful Nursing and Allied Health Rural Locum Scheme (NAHRLS) until 30 June 2015. This announcement recognises the vital strategic role played by NAHRLS in meeting the demand within the Australian rural and remote health sector for locum support.

The Nursing and Allied Health Rural Locum Scheme (NAHRLS) reaches its 1000th placement in December at Wagga Wagga Health Service (WWHS), providing locum support for the Intensive Care Unit to fill in for a registered nurse on leave over the Christmas period.
The Nursing and Allied Health Rural Locum Scheme (NAHRLS) has achieved 100 placements in October which marks another great achievement for the NAHRLS team and the locums that have done a fantastic job helping rural and remote communities around Australia.
